I experienced something more than just the typical burnout that we've seen many professionals go through. I went far past that point, into something deeper. I realized that my profession, my lifestyle, and my personal needs were not in synch. Let's face it, this profession doesn't always lend itself to acceptance in the "vanilla" world, so when you are desiring things that some would deem vanilla, you are caught up in a maelstrom of confusion, angst, and frustration. In the long run, the real trick is balancing these issues without compromising who you are.

My last scene related trip was to Jamaica, to attend Kink in the Caribbean. It was a group of real people being real in a fantasy retreat. Not much can compare to being a part of this event. This was by far my favorite fetish event to date! I hope to attend again this year, but with how things have been going, I'll just have to wait and see.

I consider this an area of growth for me. I feel like a little girl all over again, deciding which path is the best for my personal well being as well as success. Commercial sessions still hold no interest for me. Being a person of heart, emotions, and feelings doesn't blend well with the "hit and run" mentality of an hour session with "what's his name". On the other hand, having a professional session with someone I find myself interested in can also have a downside. I need a perfect balance in even my professional sessions at this time, so I'm taking things slow and accepting those that I feel a connection, understanding, and hopefully the outcome would be a mutual learning experience.
