INTERVIEW WITH DOMINA IRENE BOSS

  1. How long have YOU been a Professional Domina?
    5 Years
  2. When did YOU realize that YOU were Dominant?
I was at first a fetishist, who had sexual feelings towards fabrics, shoes, makeup, and 'scenes' involving props, highly charged drama, and personal catharsis. MY first orientation was towards WOMEN. We would play in groups, doing dress up, spanking and restriction games. All of my childhood games before this had also included bondage, humiliation, and some form of psychological head space(i.e. entering role) Favorites were 'mean teacher' and 'guard'. I was constantly 'discovering' sexually oriented paraphernalia around the home I grew up in. Some of this was D/S oriented. A few of my father's FEMALE relatives passed away during this time and left him large trunks of odd high-heeled shoes and stockings. I would gleefully wear these to school with a lot of makeup and attract all kinds of negative attention-which I enjoyed! So you see, very early on I was also an exhibitionist. I also have an excellent insight into the cross-dresser and those who like to be humiliated - especially in public. The world of theater began to interest me at 15, and for the next four years I had finally found an outlet for all of my peculiar energies that could now be considered socially acceptable. I began doing 'scenes' with the man I was dating. Later I went on to college where I studied art and psychology. My art was based on abstract and conceptual ideas having to do with female/male and D/S in consensual and nonconsensual ways, and used the genre of 'performance art'. My works were extremely controversial and would attract large audiences. It was not unusual at this time for me to play submissive and dominant roles during these performances, which usually included transvestites. I found it very ironic to conceptualize, write, direct, and have to give up the main focus of the show, and satisfy the submissive role myself because no one else would do it. A transvestite friend would often be more than happy to play the lead. I learned much about submissive mindset during those productions, while I was 'topping from the bottom'.
  3. Are there any stories YOU would like to share about how YOU got into the Scene??
An event which left a deep impression on me was a foreign film I saw. In the film, there was a character dressed from head to toe entirely in black latex. SHE had on heavy exotic makeup, and was smoking a cigarette from a cigarette holder. SHE looked at the camera, and in a deep and sultry voice said: "Hello." I was very attracted and fascinated by HER. I have become HER! MY childhood experiences and art exploration were obviously key elements in MY decision to become a professional TOP. I also had a live-in submissive male for 3 years, and during that time I played the MISTRESS close to 24 hours a day. I would not recommend this to everyone, though. I strongly feel now that a more well balanced and harmonious existence between the submissive and the DOMINANT can be achieved with a balance of activities, not all of them being oriented towards playtime.
  4. Where is the epicenter of Female Dominance in the United States?
etc.
